Key Learning Outcomes
Learners will:
- Understand the barriers and benefits that influence children’s learning, including how parental involvement supports progress
- Explore how expectations, stereotypes and assumptions affect confidence, motivation and achievement, and learn strategies to encourage positive expectations
- Examine how identity, self‑esteem and supportive relationships influence a child’s learning journey, including approaches that nurture a positive sense of self
- Understand how feelings and emotional experiences impact learning, and learn ways parents can support emotional wellbeing and help children feel heard
- Explore different approaches to learning and strategies that help children stay focused, manage distractions and develop a positive learning mindset
- Understand how healthy boundaries and positive school relationships support children’s learning, including ways parents can collaborate effectively with school staff
