Key Learning Outcomes
Learners will:
- Understand trauma‑informed care (TIC) and psychologically informed environments (PIE), including core principles and how they support psychological safety
- Explore how environments, relationships, communication, identity, culture and lived experience influence emotional and psychological safety in services
- Learn how to prepare safely and sustainably for TIC/PIE assessment visits, including emotional preparation, boundaries and grounding strategies
- Be able to observe environments using trauma‑informed and psychologically informed principles, including sensory, relational and emotional cues
- Reflect on and organise insights after an assessment visit, including grounding, emotional responses, thematic analysis and identifying strengths and challenges
- Share insights in a safe, boundaried and compassionate way, using structured frameworks and maintaining personal boundaries when offering feedback
